During the early stages of HongKong #antiELAB movement, we and our children took part in several demonstrations, including the 1 million as well as the 2 million rally. I hope to contribute what I can and take some action from a dad’s perspective. Using words and imagery, hoping to connect with other parents who are also fighting for their children’s future, reaching out to care, to embrace, to encourage others and add strength to Hong Kong.
Today as parents we may not be on the frontline, but sometimes I would imagine my own children putting on a yellow helmet in 10 years’ time. I have no power to direct the protests, but I can choose to sow seeds of love and hope and to sing on the streets, “You may say I’m a dreamer, but I’m not the only one.”
